Okay, couple questions before I start trying to explain why this is a bad thing, did you make it so the “person is now Afk” thing is on? or did it turn on automatically when you were doing stuff with mchat? And did you set the whole kicking thing if they are afk for too long?
I tweaked the times to be more forgiving. The default values were rather short.
