The recent voting post has really brought a lot of new people to the server. There have been several people who I hope stay because they’re nice and fun to be around.

And many many griefers.
Now I’m not saying these people are bad, they’re just part of getting a ton of new people.
The problem with this is that I’m usually the only person online for this… Sure chicken and ab get on a couple times a day but now that Icy can’t play minecraft its just me with a bunch of new people answering questions, promoting, temp banning, etc.
I’m kinda new to the whole “Dep” thing and I would really appreciate it if one of the more experienced deps or mods could be on more…
Yeah, I see this pretty much every morning, thirteen year old spammers and griefers alike from all around Europe unite in their wicked ways and it’s always me who’s on to try and prevent the carnage. We could definitely do with more of the deps/mods on around that time (8am-1pm GMT ).
Just heal up, icy. I plan on posting a public ‘guidelines’ thread for Deputy responsibilities soon. I might consider one more deputy, but we already have quite a few. I don’t consider promotions above VIP a privilege but a responsibility. Not long ago the Bukkit forums removed the “Plugin Author” rank because it was becoming a status symbol where people would flaunt it like a symbol of superiority and disregard the opinions of those without it, not to mention it was causing a metric shit ton of basically shitty repeat plugin submissions because everybody wanted their damn ‘look at me I’m special’ rank.
I agree Rely, but even so as our recognition rises so will the amount of people that come to tour and experiance our rather unique server as it has survival and creative and an innevitable occurance is those people have a high chance of being an ass-wipe. So I think that it is a great idea to increase the Deps so that we may better control the fools and legitimate recruits and accept the worthy into the community we have all built. (WOW that sounds really snobbish of me XD )
This all sounds good and since Josh isnt around to help because of his wrist and our current mods arent really on a lot (ab with a shitty laptop and chicken…well idk). I just had a experience with a “very colorful languages” person.
