Anyway chickenwings came on today and claimed that someone had hacked into his account and changed his skin and griefed. This is quite a serious issue, seeing how this isn’t the first time a griefer has gotten hold of chicken’s account. I think he either needs to be demoted or tempbanned, but thats just my opinion.
See, I don’t see how tempban or demotion would help, because 1. I changed my password 2. Priv still has access to Creative mode and WE. Plus, my stupid friend thought it’d be funny to grief. Don’t believe me? Check the IP please Silarn.
I talked to my friend on the phone. His account is sammyjohn32. If he ever comes on again, he can vouch for me.
Sam: “Mike told me something I probably shouldn’t tell you. He said 'You know that rimpo.net server? Yeah I totally griefed it and changed Andy’s skin.”
Here’s what Mike (the griefer) said.
Andy: So you changed my skin and griefed the server?
Mike: Yup.
Andy: Why?
Mike: Andy, all those things I griefed are easily repairable.
That’s the important stuff that happened on the phone this morning.
You see, all my friends suck.
I’ll vouch for you chicken, I’ve actually had this happen to me once with a “friend” who thought that using x-ray on a survival server wouldn’t go unnoticed. My account was banned from the server, but I had never played on it xD. So, how did I find out? The guy actually told me that he did it a day after because he thought I’d be pissed. Suffice to say, I wasn’t that mad (if it was on SilCraft, things would be different) Guys, please consider letting chicken off with a warning. Thanks x333
We gave him a warning the last time this happened.
It wasn’t the same person as last time, alien
I can see both peoples opinions on this. Alien warned him the first time but chicken said it was a different person, which leads me to this question:
You see, the first time, my friend didn’t know any better because he was new to the game, but it was still his ignorance. Second time, I thought I could trust my friend because he didn’t have an account of his own.
Don’t let your friends borrow your account.
Yeah really, even if you do trust them, you never know what they will do with it
Steam Chat Always Says:
Never tell your password to anyone.
Chicken, I believe you but I can’t just let it slide. It’s only 24h, I’m sure you can find other things to do for a day.
Let’s put it this way, I have one friend (and probably Errai) who I would actually trust with my account info, mostly because he just isn’t that interested and wouldn’t bother logging in. The others just might do little things like that because they can be chuckle-heads, roll their eyes at the concept of minecraft, and probably wouldn’t consider it that serious to cause minor damage to something.
The other reason is that none of them would really know what they were doing and might cause issues just through ignorance. But that’s exacerbated by the fact that I’m the admin and one bad command can cause serious issues.
So my whole punishment is 24h ban?
Yes, that is all.
Will this effect my chance of being promoted?
Don’t even ask bro.
Don’t let your friends drive drunk
