With the idea in mind tat this is going to be a leaner, more selective SilCraft, what old or alternative mods would you all like to see on the server?
I do plan on adding a separate survival for PvP - and I know PvE surv can get boring when you’ve conquered the world per se. I’ll probably add Factions for that purpose.
What else would you like to see? I’ll probably allow Legends to add other folks to an accepted rank. Perhaps a second ‘evaluative’ level that’s not totally restricted like Plebians. But lacking full WorldEdit permissions, etc.
I am looking for a good plugin to handle teleportation - ideally one that can transfer you to a remembered location on the previous world which also supports warmups and/or cooldowns much like our Home plugin.
I’m not sure I want an economy right now, though I am open to suggestions. I know there are some out there that attempt to generate dynamic values for items based on supply/demand - but do we even want or care about a real money system?

To be quite honest, I prefer to play within the game’s limitations. Factions are a welcome addition to spice stuff up, but the economy can probably be left to face to face trades, as is the norm in the Minecraft universe. Lol, I’m asking for immersion I guess. I’m such a weirdo xD. THIS IS WHY I MAINLY PLAY CREATIVE!
Right - though the reason for a plugin like Towny in PvE survival is more along the lines of ‘well I was planning on building in this space, but some guy came in and built something right next to me and dug up a bunch of stuff’ allowing for a claimed ‘safe’ area for you to have on your own. Perhaps it could be limited to a certain size per person unlike the landgrab that was SilCraft former. So you can have some personal space but not eat up the whole map.
But the other purpose for Towny was to automatically free up space in the case that a player stopped playing for a long time. Without me having to manually remove every vacant town.
I am really happy to hear that the server is making a comeback! All I want from this server is a simple survival world with town and economy aspects. Thanks a lot for bringing her back
Some conflicting views on economy. At one point it was possible to use actual items as econ items - rather than arbitrary numbers. Maybe there’s a happy medium between ‘none at all’ and ‘yes please’. Gold nuggets, perhaps? At the same time, I’m not too keen on keeping up with item values indefinitely. Maybe that just means letting people choose their own values with shop chests rather than having an admin baseline.

I wouldn’t mind implementing a trade system to let people trade easily via econ, and let people decide what value something has. I think plugins for this exist.
